Assalamualaykum warahmatullahi
wabarokatuh my Inia’s Legacy// Warisan Inia’s blog readers. Hope you’re feeling fantastically great
today! J
Starting from this week, my blog post titles will use new vocabularies as for
me to improve my English language vocabulary range and for your knowledge as
well, insya-Allah. ;)
So, lets go to the definitions
first. According to Microsoft Corporation Encarta ® World English
Dictionary (1998-2005), exasperate
[ig záspə rayt, ig zspə rayt] means:
1. make angry: to make somebody
very angry or frustrated, often by repeatedly doing something annoying (usually
passive)
Eg: “Guests were exasperated by their hosts' constant bickering. See
Synonyms at annoy”
2.
worsen: to make an unpleasant condition or feeling worse (literary).
For this week’s post, maybe I’ll be hanging around definition number
two. J Now, lets see the definition for the next word; exalt.
exalt [ig záwlt, ig
zólt]
1. praise somebody or something: to praise or
worship somebody or something (formal)
2. promote somebody or something: to raise
somebody or something in rank, position, or esteem (formal)
exalted
to the rank of major
3.
intensify something: to increase the intensity or effect of something
(formal)
4. stimulate something: to stimulate a mental
quality or faculty (archaic/ old-fashioned).
For
this definition, my content will be spreaded on these four meanings.

and exaltion academically and spiritually & Final Examinations~

What I have learnt about myself this week?
Final
examinations for all students in University of Malaya has started this week. Four
papers had been taken (see picture of my examination slip), two more to go next
week. Exasperations of panicking upon the final examinations been around me
since last weekend, where after the first paper (which was hard and confusing),
I feel a bit sad about my performance. After went out of examination hall, I checked
again the notes and found out that there were many mistakes I did. Well, people
say that don’t discuss your examination questions after the exam. I doubt and
disagree of this statement. That is the statement of don’t want to know the
fact. How many students forgot the knowledge that they’ve learnt after they
finished some major examinations? This could be the prove of learning for the
scroll (be it PMR, SPM, STPM, Diploma, Degree or even Masters/PhDs) and not for
the knowledge itself. Hence, its okay to discuss or look at for answers we did
in the exams because the knowledge will stick longer in your brain for
sometimes. However, this is only my mere opinion and you can agree or not agree
with me as different people have different perspectives upon things. J
One
thing I know about myself this week is that, when I got panicked, I tent no be
so nervous where negatively, I tend to not read what are supposed to be read,
because how many times I read the notes, it won’t go inside of my mind. (--.’)>I
have had rather call/SMS my friends or family to say how nervous I am that time
and I found out that a little support of words will confort me at some moments.
The positive thing about this is that reading won’t make me memorize, but
writing (make notes) with pictures and squiggles with colourful markers, and
know the whole picture of a subject will make me understand more. That’s
exalted my esteem and motivation to do my best in this battle of examinations! \(>o<’)/*
So, I did SMS my friends asking for short notes they have regarding some topics
that I found I stucked at and it worked! Haha, imagine, the questions I asked
were actually been questioned in the papers! :D (Though I did answer wrong for some
questions due to over ‘panic’ and ‘blank’ (forgot what had been read) in mind)
haha :P. Anyhow, just pray the best out of the best! <(^v^)v

What functions did I attend this week?
Well,
I didn’t attend any function this week. I attended library and examination
halls most this week! Hehe. Yesterday, I planned to go back home to my parents’
house in Putrajaya straight after finish the examination at 5 p.m. So, I had
packed my attires to wear for the weekend, brought my mobile phone chargers
with me and had planned to take the ‘C’ UM Bus Ride to LRT Universiti to LRT
Pasar Seni to take Rapid KL bus to Putrajaya Sentral. Yeah, I did board the UM
Bus Ride until the Universiti LRT station. I went through Kerinchi night market
for a while to go to the openned surau next to it. The exam started at 3pm to
5pm, so that’s the nearest surau to night market that’s open to perform the Asr
prayers.
|
Kerinchi Night Market |
For your information, if you happenned want to find the nearest surau
to the Kerinchi night market and don’t know where to go, let me save time for
you. The other flats around the night market are closed with locks (they’re
open for Maghrib and Isya’ prayers as what the residents around there told me).
If I not mistaken the open surau’s residential name of it is Angkasa flat.
(really? Is that the name? O.o’. It’s across the road opposite to Vista Angkasa
Apartment, just next to the night market spot hehe, sorry for not remembering
the apartment’s surau name). You can see there will be a clinic, a bakery, a
photocopy shop and a restaurant under the flat from the night market. Well, after I bought ‘Nasi Kerabu’ (a
Kelantanese delicacy, interesting Malaysian food as the rice is in blue colour!
;P) and a few vegetables (ulam-ulaman) to be eaten with the rice, I decided to
not to go back to Putrajaya.. (I won’t be able to read a single thing if I went
back to my house, imagine, to play with my 9-year-old little sister hehe). Therefore,
I went back to UM and stayed in Main Library for a while until its almost 10 o’clock.

What lessons did I get from reading this week?
Well,
I have read this article from Productive Muslim.com of ’18 sources of Barakah’.
(I had attended its seminar in International Islamic University, Gombak on 25-26th
February, 2012 with my friends – insya-Allah I will share about what we had obtained
on that seminar with you my blog readers though it has been 4 months already. I
will find time to share it with you later, insya-Allah! :Dv)
Basically,
this article was one of the topic been covered in the seminar. The seminar was
all about how to be a productive Muslim. It is just that this week I want to
re-energize my memory back of what I have learnt on that seminar that I logged
on to the website and found this article. These are the sources of having a
barakah life as a Muslim, insya-Allah. The
one that I have always practiced since got back from the seminar is “Eating
with People” since I always eat alone when been busy and sometime when at home
as well. Since in my residential college prepare food for us residents, I took
this opportunity not to eat at a different table (normally when we see there’s
somebody on the other table is eating and sitting alone, we keen to sit at the
other empty table to have some ‘privacy’ – hehe, do you realize that this
indicating an individualistic behaviour? Yes, it is. Modern and city society
keen to have this kind of behaviour, so lets not be that! ;D). Socializing while
eating could be a good way to get to know people! ;D Interesting isn’t it? Below
is the expalation from the article itself:
Anyone who has had the experience of inviting
guests to his/her house will know this one. No matter how little you think the
food you’re presenting to your guest is, it’s always more than enough! (Note:
this is not an excuse to be miserly when you invite guests over; in fact we
should follow the Sunnah of our Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) whom when
visited by the angels prepared a large meal for them). What I’m referring to
here is the blessing that occurs when eating together, confirmed in the hadeeth
of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who said: “Eat together, for blessing is in
Jamma’a (congregation or being together)…” and in another hadeeth:“Whoever has food enough for two
persons, should take a third one, and whoever has food enough for four persons,
should take a fifth or a sixth (or said something similar).” (Bukhari, Volume
4. Book 56. Number 781)
Though
the article more focused on serving food to guests of your house or something
like that, during the seminar, the speaker did explain to us that apart from
giving food to your guests/sadaqah your food to other people, don’t eat alone. Eat
with other people as you could get barakah out of that, insya-Allah.. J I found out that when
we eat with people, we build friendship and when we are stressed, even smiling
and sharing some initiations of small talks during the eatings could lessen our
stress level, alhamdulillah..

What did I learn from any audio or visual materials
this week?
While
I was reading for a paper within this week on one night, I don’t know why but I
tuned in a radio station with my mp3 player. I didn’t quite remember the date
and time or even the radio channel number, but I think it was either a Bernama
24 radio or Traxx FM as the talk was in English (while I was searching for any
good songs to be listened to, I was attracted by this radio talk talking about a
community project, which a subject I’m paying attention in).
The
conversations for an hour talk was about introducing the listeners to a new
community project in Malaysia, been established in April 2012 called ‘PitchIn’ kickstarter.
What’s so interesting about this project is that any Malaysians (yes,
unfortunately only Malaysians) aged until 40 years old could pitch in their
ideas to make a project and been funded upon their project ideas by Malaysians.
The projects’ progresses are so transparents (we could see the progress in
website: http:www.pitchin.my), and Malaysian public could fund at least RM10 to
the projects they like to put their money in. The thing is that, the fund
cannot been paid just like that to the project owners as they have a time frame
to do/ make the project a reality (within the time frame of 3 months if I’ve
not mistaken). So far, I have seen the website and saw the categories for Film
& Productions and Creative Writings where there are no funding given to any
projects yet. We can fund the project ideas via Paypal (it is secured, so no
scum I believe) and I’m looking forward to other ideas as well. Hehe, or maybe I
could pitch in my ideas??? ;D

What activities did I do this week and what are the
lessons that I learned?
Just
a brief sentence to describe the above question: “Prepare early for final
examinations and don’t do last minute readings for the battle of our CGPA”.
(T^T)
